Privacy policy and terms
In short: olly-personal is a private tool that only I, Olly Smith, use. It uploads my own videos to my own YouTube channel. It does not collect anything from anyone else. You can remove its access at any time from your Google account.

What olly-personal is
olly-personal is a small program on my own computer. It uses the YouTube API Services to upload videos I have made to my own YouTube channel, @SweepHead32. It is not a public app: nobody else can sign in to it, and it is not offered to anyone else. Every video it uploads goes up as Private, and I make it public myself on YouTube.
What Google and YouTube data it uses, and why
When I connect the app to my own Google account, Google asks me to allow these permissions:
- Upload videos to YouTube (youtube.upload): to upload my videos and their thumbnails to my channel.
- See your YouTube account (youtube.readonly): to read my channel's name and ID, so the app can check it is connected to the right channel before it uploads anything; to read back each upload's status, to confirm it went up as Private; and, with the playlist feature on, to find my own playlist by its name.
- Manage your YouTube account (youtube.force-ssl): only if I switch on the optional playlist feature, to add my own uploads to my own playlists.
The app reads only my own channel name and ID, my own playlists, and the details of the videos I upload. It does not read comments, subscribers, viewers, messages or any other person's data.
How it is stored
Google gives the app an access token so it can upload without me signing in every time. That token is kept in a private file on my own computer (or my own private server), readable only by my own user account. It is never put on this website, never shared and never sold. The app stores no other YouTube data. The only other thing I keep is the ID of each video I upload, in my own private project notes.
Who it is shared with
Nobody. The only place the data goes is Google and YouTube themselves, which is how the upload works. Nothing is sold, used for advertising, or passed to anyone else.
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to remove access, and delete the data
Anyone who has connected a Google account to olly-personal can remove its access at any time:
- Go to your Google account's Third-party apps and services page (also reachable from Google security settings), choose olly-personal, and remove its access.
Once access is removed the stored token stops working, and I delete it and anything else the app holds within 7 days. You can also email ogsscambodia@gmail.com and ask me to delete anything the app holds; I will do it within 7 days and reply to confirm.
YouTube and Google's own terms
olly-personal uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

- Anyone using it agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- It is provided as it is, with no promise that it will keep working.
This website
ollydoes.com has no sign-in, no forms, no cookies and no tracking or advertising scripts. Like every web server, it keeps a standard access log (the address of the device, the page asked for, the time and the browser name). The log is used only to count visitors and keep the site safe, is kept for up to 90 days, and is never sold or shared. The headings use a font loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches that font file from Google's servers. Links to YouTube, TikTok and Amazon take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
